Queens Road Medical Practice - Grange House - February 2024

Works to convert Grange House, the former Ladies College and Education Offices, into a stunning new home for Queens Road Medical Practice, commenced in September 2022. TDA have worked closely with the Practice over the last two and a half years forming strong relationships along the way. The project highlights the need for close collaboration between each team member, comprising Client, Architect, Engineer, Contractor, Planner, Building Control, Acoustician, Sub-Contractors, Funder, Quantity Surveyor, M&E Consultant, Suppliers, Utility providers, Fire Consultant, Landscape Designer, Land Surveyor, Building Surveyor and most importantly, the end users. Good progress is being made on site, with all parties working hard to ensure the project is delivered to the client in November 2024. The finishing touches, to both the front and rear of the building, including the lime rendering and decorations, are almost complete. In addition, the roof works are now nearing completion, which will allow the scaffolding canopy and general scaffolding to be removed over the coming weeks. The curtain walling (two storey glass facade) to the main entrance and new pharmacy is now installed, with the final pieces of the jigsaw being installed soon. We are looking forward to seeing the new medical centre in use by November 2024, when Queens Road Medical Practice will occupy their new home, providing expert services to the Island for generations to come.
